Valmetal Tulare pumps all feature an open impeller design to allow pumping of solid-laden waste water efficiently. Cutting blades are also available for installation on pump intake plates to cut large fibers as they enter the pump housing. CHOPPER KNIFE All of our agitators come equipped with a hardened steel knife directly behind the propeller blade. While agitating your pit, the knife cuts fibers to 1 inch long. We angled the evacuating vein on the propeller in a way that the propeller movement evacuates material from the knife. This greatly reduces the wear between the propeller and the knife.
