Valon Kone’s VK5000 series includes debarker models VK5048, VK5048SL, VK5048HD and VK5048HDSL for debarking small logs. Dozens of corresponding machines have been delivered throughout the world since the beginning of the 2000s. The VK5000 series is built to handle high-speed debarking in extreme conditions. Thanks to their reliability, the machines have increased their popularity around the world year after year.
Modular machine frame
The VK5000 series boasts the latest debarker machine frame type developed by Valon Kone. The machine frame features a modular structure, which has been standardised in terms of its dimensions and components. The frame module is symmetrical, which means that the same module can be used in both right-handed and left-handed lines. Among its other benefits, the symmetry of the frame facilitates the installation of the debarker in a new location, since the rotatable frame does not limit layout planning. Thanks to the modular machine frame, the debarker can also be flexibly modified to meet changing needs. The debarker can be easily supplemented with a second debarking rotor or a butt-end reducing rotor, for example, by extending the frame with an additional section. The symmetrical and modular design also makes the debarkers easier to resell.
