Viscon has introduced a new robotic gap filling solution for plant growers using advanced Delta robotic technology. This machine ensures 100% filled plant trays by eliminating inefficiencies in the transplanting process where missing plants can occur.
-Increased speed & efficiency
-Flexible integration
-Minimizing labor & costs
The challenge: Incomplete plant trays
In current production lines, flawless transplanting is a challenge. During this process, some plant cells in a tray may not be filled, due to issues like germination problems in the source tray or transplanting errors. This results in incomplete trays, leading to inefficiencies and production losses. The robot filler offers the perfect solution.
The innovation: Delta robot technology
This robot filler is placed directly behind the transplanter in the production line and automatically fills the missing plants in the trays. The delta technology, known for its speed and precision, ensures the machine can place up to 1,600 plants per hour. With just one gripper, the robot can quickly and accurately pick up plants and place them in the correct position in the tray, regardless of the gaps from the initial process.
Savings and efficiency
The use of delta technology results in significant labor savings. Growers no longer need to manually fill missing plants, saving both time and costs. Additionally, the machine is especially useful for replenishing plants at the beginning and end of a batch, where production typically faces higher loss rates.
