Feeding the pigs according to their appetite leads to increased feed absorption and increased milk yields. The weaned pigs thus achieve a higher weight. Experience also shows a reduced loss of flesh, which again leads to a reduced feed consumption per sow per year. The S.O. 22 Uni feeder is for sows and pigs weighing from 7 to 120 kg. When the sow stays together with the piglets they will quickly learn to use the feeder. The specially designed dispenser head ensures that the pigs are not in contact with the feed before it is in the trough thus preventing clogging of the feeder.
