Thanks to the unique combination of the water and air regulation, the plants in our perlite cubes develop a vital and strong root system, with many fine and active roots. The strong root development in the perlite blocks has an immediate effect on the plants. They have more body and more generative growth is possible. Plants in perlite cubes are strong. Difficult periods such as a heavy fruit crops or very bright radiation are easier to absorb. And fungi and insects find it harder to invade strong plants. COMBINATION WITH OTHER SUBSTRATES Thanks to the strong capillarity, perlite blocks don't dry out on other substrates. The WP block is not drained by the different mat types. Because of that, the plants will root quicker in other substrates. WP blocks can be combined perfectly with different natural substrates such as perlite, coco substrate, peat and pumice stone. Over the years, tens of millions of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, aubergines and other vegetables have been successfully grown in perlite blocks. The use of our WP blocks increases every year.
