Poultry farms are increasingly heated by indirect fired heaters. The advantage of this type of heater is that both CO2 and water vapour is not introduced into the shed. The result is a healtier indoor environment and significant energ savings.
Another advantage is not having an open flame in the farm. This is safer and more reliable.
Energy saving
The Winterwarm DXC gas-fired (natural or propane gas) heater is available in 3 outputs: 60-80-100 kW. The heaters have a sealed combustion chamber to ensure that CO2 and water vapour are discharged to the outside. Therefore, the ventilation in the shed can be kept to a minimum, certainly during the first 3 weeks of the flock. Research carried out by Winterwarm on two projects demonstrated energy savings averaging 25%.
The result is a dry atmosphere which is healthier for the lifestock and for human beings. And last but not least: the DXC is very quiet and very easy to clean which are very nice features for the farmer!
