.The principle of the nest is that the birds go in the nest and sit onto the special matt(Astroturf mostly)to lay the egg. .This matt is having a slope towards the eggbelt so goes down,because of the fact the egg has to roll away out of the nest onto the egg belt. .Nests in the market often have a moving floor as an expel system to have no birds inthe nest during the night.Our nest has however a moving back wall as the expel system,this is a more safe system. .Good light and no shadow is important. .The width of the slatted floors important.
