Agriculture is undergoing a radical shift as we encounter increasing environmental constraints and food production needs all over the world. The increase in Agtech investments and recent technology developments, combined with data collection and aggregation systems, are boosting the development of new technologies in indoor and urban farming.

Kroptek’s objective is therefore to enable the cost-efficient farming of organic-grade crops anywhere in the world, any time of the year. This will have a positive impact on the environment, reducing fresh water consumption, energy needs and carbon footprints by up to 90% (subject to setup, location and crop types).

With teams cumulating decades of expertise in LED lights engineering and plant biology research, we offer proven-performance, broad-spectrum light recipes. Our aim is to optimise the development and maximize the yield of a large variety of crops, at all stages of their growth cycle.

Since its early days, Kroptek’s founding teams have focused their research activities based on the scientific evidence that a plant’s quality and yield are enhanced by broad-spectrum LED lighting. Kroptek therefore prioritises natural daylight replicating full-spectrum options but also develops other more targeted spectrum alternatives on demand.

As studies increasingly prove that plants benefit from grow lights designed with broad or full-spectrum light recipes, our LED spectrum offer goes beyond the narrower blue and red light combination which growers are familiar with. Most of our light recipes include green light, which positively impacts plant health. Some spectrum options go beyond the visible spectrum with a small dose of UVs.
